This series provides 8 guided meditations that fall under 3 main categories. Guided Imagery meditation, themed meditation and mindfulness meditation.

While Yoga and mindful movement are wonderful for physical health and are a form of meditation in themselves this series will ask you to hold stillness in the body as you focus your efforts on easing the mind and encouraging a deep sense of relaxation. Meditation is a wonderful way to declutter the mind and improve focus, concentration and even self -awareness. The more we practise meditation and familiarize the brain with this practice we will start to notice a decrease in stress and the effects of anxiety. Frequently Tapping into a deep sense of relaxation and deactivating the sympathetic nervous system results in our ability to remain calm and more focused in stressful situations. Our heart rate slows, our breathing rate slows and the body begins to relax and release stress and tension.

Yoga Asana (poses /movement) can have structural changes on our body such as improving joint health and creating stronger muscles. Some research has shown that meditation can change the brain's structure, other research shows it can improve the brain's functions. With daily meditation practices you can begin to ‘rewire’ the brain seeing measurable changes in areas of the brain responsible for memory, sense of self, empathy and stress.
